it is no joke giving tuition from 5.15-9.15pm. oh man my mouth was SO dry by the end of it all!! yes reminder to self: bring a water bottle when i give tuition. but i'm not complaining or anything.. today's tuition was good! in the sense that i didn't get frustrated with my students. sam really isn't prepared for his econs mid yr essay paper.. i just hope that what i went through with him today will stick in his head!! gonna have to squeeze in a last minute session with him on thurs before his paper on friday!! and peiyun just bummed in his room the whole time we were having tuition. sigh, so nice! haha. next time i have a boyfriend i wanna be able to hang out at his house too! hahaha. peiyun and i also arranged to go shopping on thurs! haha yay, finally. see how my days have this knack of filling themselves up? heh. looks like it's gonna be another week of no meals at home at all. i was kinda dreading giving tuition at the student care centre after that, cos the p4s are really hard to handle, and group tuition itself is really hard to handle. but for some unknown reason, benson was so well-behaved today!!! haha. and i tried a new method which worked so well. very happy. :)

best of all, when i came home, i managed to open addie's e-card (it refused to open on sunday). it was so..touching. hey addie, thanks so much dear. i miss you and love you too. :) can't wait for you to finish your exams, then you can be a full-time holiday planner!!! hahaha. really looking forward to seeing you soon.. and to top it all off, ogre replied my email! sigh, i hate the distance, i really do. i guess the best we can do is for me to get a webcam yeah? miss you always.

so let's start with today. SIA interview this morning went well, thank God. i felt priveleged to be so covered in prayer. stef, shianni, lynette, patricia, jeremy, amanda, ma and pa, kor, and all the others, thanks so much! oh, and i met amy at the interview!! haha so exciting. i was so happy to see her, she was like "rae you're high.." hahaha. and it's super cos we arranged to meet next week and for once it wasn't one of those "yeah let's meet up soon!!" type of empty promises. we said it, we checked the dates, and we fixed it! woohoo. so i've got myself a dinner date with mich, amy and denise next wk! it's gonna be a wild girl's night out.. ;)

raffles place is a very interesting place. during lunch hour, everyone's rushing all around and the whole place is buzzing with activity. but before and after lunch hours, it's like a ghost town! today, at BK during lunch hour, this guy was talking to his clients and ordering his food at the same time (by pointing, nodding, shaking and pointing again). everyone was well-dressed, with handphones slung around their necks and security passes clipped to their clothes. i kept my eyes peeled for anyone in jeans. nope, only me. haha :) had a 2nd lunch at o'briens, but much to my disappointment, "my" waiter wasn't there. :| mebbe he only works on mondays... hahaha. i walked into a bread shop that had a "help wanted" sign - something the old rae probably wouldn't have done. had a pleasant talk with the pple there, but they didn't want me cos i can only work for the next 2-3 months. bummer.

now we will rewind to yesterday, which was just as if not even more smile-inducing. :) i was determined not to let yuying wait for me again. so i purposely left the house early, too early in fact. haha. ended up reaching more than half an hour before time! hahaha.. but i didn't mind, cos what was important was that yuying wouldn't have to wait for me. we had lunch at o'briens (we're turning into sandwich freaks, haha) at citilink. chatted, people-watched, enjoyed moments of silence together.. then we helped each other out with interview prep and questions and stuff... it was a good time. :) after that, we went on a put-together-an-outfit-for-yuying's-interview spree!! hahaha. scoured raffles city, citilink mall, and suntec city for the perfect outfit for yuying! blouse, skirt, shoes. she looked soooo sweet and pleasant and demure! (speaking of raffles city, i "followed" the muscleman from godspell out of cityhall mrt to raffles city in the morning!! ahhh!! hahaha. and gerald met him today too!! coincidence? hahaha...)

unexpectedly, yuying treated me to chocolate&wildhibiscus ice cream when we were done. yummmmmy! we then happily trooped down to chinatown for our singing lesson. while waiting for the train, i realised that my crumpler bag matched yuying's outfit and her's matched mine, so we exchanged bags! hahaha...it was hilarious cos when it was time to tap our ezlink cards we had to reach into the bags that were on each other (get it?) hahahaha... singing lesson was great!!! yuxuan's a wonderful teacher and we both had breakthroughs.. yay. i like my new song alot. hee.

after singing, it was back to city hall for me to meet melissa, justine, elizabeth and qinying for dinner. actually i skipped dinner and had 2 huge scoops of bud's icecream instead!! hehehe. i tell you, bud's icecream is the best!!!! they give such HUUUUUGE scoops and at super LOW prices too!!! $1 per scoop!! (i won't be surprised if they noticed a sudden peak in their icecream sales after today, hahaha) so anyway, was so happy to meet up with them again. last time i got to properly talk to elizabeth was probably our last performance or sth.. we went to esplanade to watch our juniors perform.. those lucky pigs! we were supposed to perform at esplanade last year but there was the whole SARS thing so it got cancelled and shifted to LT1..ergh. now i'll never have the chance to perform at esplanade.. :( we skipped the band part of the concert (whoooops :P) to go chill at via mar together with matthew and huiwen (aka mole!!! hahaha). had a great time catching up.. and eating the yummmmy tapas (apetizers).. tried some of justine's martini. if it wasn't for the interview today, i would've ordered one myself. bah.

and tomorrow, i'm meeting li-ou for lunch!! finally finally finally! fuzzball and i have been trying to arrange to meet up but our schedules keep clashing and stuff. i'm glad we didn't give up trying to find a common free date! haha... i think it's like. wow. more than a month since we tried (and failed many times) to meet. whee!! then it's BTT which i absolute have to pass and which i haven't studied for at all. haven't even read the darn book. looks like i have my work cut out for me tonight. need to prepare for eunice's tuition on thurs also. gonna have another marathon tuition session - 3.30pm-7pm!!!! and all econs. wah die.
