there's this huge open area outside china square central which is like, i dunno, wonderful. it's times like this that i wish i were debbie cos i'd be able to say this ALOT more beautifully, but i'm not. haha. so anyway, it's this place right in the middle of the city, but it feels like you're at the beach. i sat there today, with the sun shining down on my back, the wind blowing, and this is the best part - heavenly lounge-ish acoustic music. it was a female singer with the most exquisitely clear and soulful voice. in the middle of the huge open area is a fountain, not the bugis type which spurts water all over the place, but a more "classy" one. there were 2 kids - a boy and a girl - playing quietly at the side of the fountain, just near enough to stick their hands in and giggle with glee. their parents were sitting at the far end of the huge open area opposite me, in the shade. i don't know how to describe it well, but it was just so... happy. a saturday afternoon after work (the mom was in office attire) spent with the family. the couple looked very much in love with each other as they sat there talking and watching their kids play.
