old friends, new beginning|01.04.04|5:03 pm
tuesday i had lunch with deb and den. the two angels treated me to lunch at this scandinavian restaurant as a birthday present. heh, how sweet! i was really touched even though i probably didn't really show it. it's scary how time flies - the last time i went out and spent quality time with deb was more than a year ago!! deb voiced something that's always been on my mind but i just didn't have the guts to say: that she feels a slight pinch when she reads my blog and reads about my life with all these other people and she doesn't seem to be part of it anymore. i felt exactly the same way whenever i read hers! i'm just so glad that den organised this little get together, and i had such pure fun. :) the wonderful thing about old friends is that no matter how much your paths diverge, the friendship remains. that's what i think, at least. deb, den, we'll meet up again either next week or the week after? :)
wednesday's dinner was with cedric. the food was great. cheers to good old chinese food: crabmeat and sweet corn soup, black pepper beef, black mushrooms with beancurd, and of course, RICE!! hahaha. how can -the- fan tong not eat rice! haha. we moved to starbucks after that to chill over coffee. it was nice nice nice. haven't talked to cedric in soooooo long (i finally got a chance to give him his christmas card - that's how long). in some ways, so many things have happened and almost everything has changed, yet in some ways, everything's still the same and we can still talk like nothing's happened. we're gonna make it a point to meet regularly. isn't god just amazing? yesterday i set my mind that TODAY, APRIL FIRST, would be my new beginning. and look what today's devotion was! absolutely amazing!

Dare to Believe God God has a plan for us that is greater than our thoughts, greater than words can say. You who have been asking great things from God for a long time would be amazed if you entered into prayer understanding that the Master, Jesus, has such knowledge of the mightiness of the Father's power and of the joint union with Him that He can say: nothing is impossible for you to ask. He alone can say, "Until now you have asked nothing." If you will only dispose of yourself - for nothing but yourself will hinder you - it may be today that God will transform you so that you will be an altogether different person, as you have never been before. Move beyond your human mind, your human measure, your own strength, and all your resources - this is a big thing for me to say - and let inspiration take charge of you entirely, and bring you out of yourself into the power of God. Believe that today is a new beginning for you. You have never passed this way before. So I bring you to another day of passing over any heights, passing through mists or darkness. Dare to believe that the cloud is upon you, and it will break with an exceeding reward of blessing. Don't be afraid of clouds - they are all earthly. Never be afraid of an earthly thing. You belong to a higher order, a divine order, a spiritual order. Believe that God wants you to soar high this day. Thought for today: Begin to believe in extravagant asking, believing that God is pleased when you ask large things. --Smith Wigglesworth amen! :)
