before As, i thought, just hold out rae. it'll all be over soon. just abit more and the As will be over! but before the As even ended, the university applications started (i.e. they were due so i had to start doing them). so there was no rest after As. it was straight on to uni apps. so i thought, ok nvm AFTER uni apps i'll be free!! but before i was done filling them all out, my teaching job started. so i had to write essays about my passion for music while pulling my hair out teaching music to those nanyang kids. but i told myself, one term rae, just one term. hang in there! and so the last day of the term finally came. i thought, finally. i can bum, sleep, catch my breath. but no, i was wrong. along came scholarship applications. no time to rest. i had to sit in front of the computer and churn out essays about my career aspirations and my personal goals. thank god for kerk, amanda, yuying and stef who provided a great deal of support. and special thanks to kor, who will get a huge treat when he comes back (or when i go over). :) and today, i finally dropped the last of my scholarship applications into the mail box. on my way home, i thought, this is it!!! at long long last, EVERYTHING'S DONE! nothing left to stop me from taking a long-overdue much-needed break to catch up with myself. but guess what? happily sitting in my inbox was an email from MSC with that bright red exclamation mark! at the side. i have to go down to depot road TOMORROW for a psychometric test (or a "pschhrometric test", as the email said. obviously these MINDEF pple can't spell.)! oh, the joy.
sigh. will there ever be an end?
