the highlight of the trip wasn't attending kor's graduation (sorry!), and wasn't visiting my "home"-to-be for the next 4 years. nope. the highlight of the trip was the evening spent in SF with kor. it was wonderful. :) the first time in 19 years that we went out together, willingly (i hope? hehe). it's so cool how we've morphed from kor calling me names, me complaining that "it's not fair!", kor seeing me on the mrt and sms-ing me to stay away, to us being able to spend an evening in the city together, shopping and eating. kor was really patient with me while i shopped for a pair of jeans and couldn't make up my mind (resulting in us going from one end of union square to the other end twice), and we had a great dinner at The Cheesecake Factory! it's kinda like that day marked a new beginning in our relationship as brother and sister. i was really really happy that night. :)

i missed everyone here alot. much time was spent wondering: if i'm only gone 9 days and already i miss everyone so bad and i'm counting down the days till i come back, how am i gonna survive 4 years? sigh.

god works in amazing ways. i haven't even started uni and already i've been "adopted" by 2 american families! hahaha. ma&pa sat next to a lady on the plane who lives really near my uni, and she offered to help me with settling in, buying warm clothes, storing my extra stuff, etc. right at the same time and a few rows back, the lady sitting next to me gave me her name card - she stays within walking distance from my uni and offered to take me shopping, bring me out on holidays, etc. now is that cool or what. right when i was worrying about being there alone. god is amazing! :)

SIA's inflight entertainment is very good. i managed to watch 2 episodes of Friends, 2 episodes of CSI, Law & Order, Without A Trace, Boomtown, 2 episodes of Scrubs, 2 episodes of That 70's Show, Les Ripoux 3 (french movie), Chasing Liberty, Sylvia and 21 Grams, the last two in their full uncensored glory. i also managed to play super mario, and got to listen to whole soundtracks from joss stone to kelly clarkson to harry connick jr. slept for hours too. ah, the beauty of long flights. my only gripe would be the lack of space for my legs. oh and i must mention the SF-Seoul flight had an extremely cute steward!!! hahaha.

debbb & dennnn & kerk: didn't have time to blog abt the picnic but that was the most glorious day. i loved every single lazy minute we spent together.. :) my first time kite flying and it was so beautiful. and kerk your driving is good!! gimme a chance to talk to your dad.. i'll convince him you can drive on your own. heh. did you remember to call LTA abt the ERP thing? how's work deb? still silently suffering?

melvin: what a funny day that last day was. haha. i'm really sorry abt it yah.. and couldn't find any mini cooper stuff for you. sorry abt that too! caught shrek2 yet?
